Gainage, builder gel and BIAB
A builder gel overlay, called gainage or renforcement in French, reinforces your natural nails without adding length. This structured manicure creates a balanced shape and smooth surface beneath your colour. BIAB™ stands for Builder In A Bottle™, The GelBottle’s branded builder gel. The service is an overlay; BIAB refers to the material. Tell us if you have a particular formula in mind when booking.
Our nail artists use controlled movements and the gentlest preparation they can to minimise the impact on your natural nail plate. Our aim is beautiful nails today and healthy nails over the long term.

Your questions, answered
Does an overlay make my nails longer?
No. An overlay follows your natural nail length. Soft gel tips and sculpted gel extensions can add length.
Is colour included in the €59 price?
Yes. The Russian manicure, builder gel overlay and gel polish colour are included. Nail art and some removals of work from other salons are separate options.
What should I book for maintenance?
It depends on your current application, regrowth and nail condition. Contact us if you are unsure whether to book a fresh overlay or an infill.
Is BIAB the same as builder gel or gainage?
BIAB™ means Builder In A Bottle™, the builder gel range by The GelBottle. Builder gel is the broader material category. Gainage is the French name for an overlay on natural nails, also called a structured manicure. If you want a specific BIAB formula, contact us before booking so we can confirm the material and suitable service.
